Creating quotes with Claude, ChatGPT, or Slack

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, or Slack to Quotivity so reps can create quotes from those tools, not only in Quote Builder.

Overview

Claude, ChatGPT, and Slack can create Quotivity quotes when Quotivity has turned the AI quoting add-ons on for your account. HubSpot Breeze cannot — see Can Breeze create a Quotivity quote?.

These steps happen in Claude, ChatGPT, Slack, and an add-on settings page that not every account shows, so this article does not include Studio screenshots.

Prerequisites

Quotivity has enabled the AI quoting assistant on your account
For Claude or ChatGPT, the Sales Agent MCP add-on is also enabled
For Slack, the Slack quoting assistant add-on is also enabled
A licensed Quotivity user and a HubSpot deal (every quote belongs to a deal)
You are signed into Quotivity in the browser before you authorize Claude or ChatGPT

Connect Claude or ChatGPT

Claude and ChatGPT talk to Quotivity over the MCP server. Use the production URL that matches your account region:

Claude

Open Claude Desktop settings. Go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
Enter the server URL. Paste the URL from the table above. Leave the OAuth client fields empty.
Authorize Quotivity. Claude opens a browser window. Sign in if needed, then click Authorize.
Create a quote. Ask Claude to create a Quotivity quote on a deal. It uses your Quotivity permissions.

ChatGPT

Add a custom MCP connector in ChatGPT.
Enter the server URL from the table above.
Use a ChatGPT callback URL when the connector asks for a redirect URI: https://chatgpt.com/aip/mcp/callback or https://chat.openai.com/aip/mcp/callback.
Authorize Quotivity in the browser, then ask ChatGPT to create a Quotivity quote on a deal.

Tokens from this sign-in last four hours. Claude or ChatGPT prompts you to re-authorize when they expire. For a longer-lived credential, create a personal token under Settings → My Account → Agent API Tokens.

Connect Slack

Open Settings → Quoting → AI Assistant. This page appears only after Quotivity turns the AI quoting assistant on, and it needs the Admin role.
Connect Slack. In the Slack section, connect your Slack workspace. This is the same Slack connection used for approval notifications — connecting or disconnecting in one place affects both.
Add channels (optional). Direct messages with the assistant always work and are never listed. Add any other channel the assistant may answer in, searched by name or pasted as a Slack channel ID. For a private channel, add the Quotivity app to the channel in Slack first.
Create a quote. Message the assistant in a DM or an allowed channel and ask it to create a Quotivity quote on a deal.

Do not add customer-facing or Slack Connect channels. Cost and margin can appear in listed channels, so treat each added channel as a place where internal pricing is safe to show.

Most reps never need an agent API token in Slack — the assistant mints its own credential.

Tips

If Settings → Quoting → AI Assistant is missing, the AI quoting assistant is not enabled on the account. Ask your Quotivity contact to turn it on.
If the Slack section is missing, the Slack quoting assistant add-on is not enabled.
If Claude or ChatGPT cannot find quoting tools, the Sales Agent MCP add-on is not enabled, or the connector is pointed at the wrong region. Admin MCP (account-configuration tools) is included on Enterprise and Trial; it is separate from Sales Agent MCP.
Building in Quote Builder by hand still works when the assistant’s monthly allowance is spent.
