Understanding Quote Analytics

Track how long quotes take to be submitted, approved, delivered, and accepted, and how often they need approval.

This feature requires an Enterprise plan. Quotivity Analytics is in early access: contact help@quotivity.com to have it enabled for your account.

Quotivity Analytics shows how your quoting workflow performs over time: how long quotes take to reach each stage and how much of the approval process they go through. Admins open it from Quotivity Analytics at the top of the Studio sidebar.

The page reports on the date range you pick. Every number covers quotes that finished the relevant step inside that range — a quote approved on 14 July counts toward that day’s approval time, whenever it was created.

Quotivity starts collecting analytics data the day the feature is enabled on your account. Quotes that were created, submitted or approved before that day don’t appear, so a new account’s charts fill in over the first weeks.

Only users with the Admin role in accounts where the feature has been enabled. Sales Reps don’t see the sidebar entry, and opening the page address directly shows a not-found page. Accounts without early access don’t see the Quotivity Analytics entry at all.

Every metric can be broken down by quote owner and over time. Times are shown in whichever unit fits — minutes, hours, or days.

Metric What it measures Which quotes count
Quote Creation Time From the quote’s creation to the last time it was submitted Quotes that have been submitted (pending approval, approved, or approval not needed)
Time Waiting for Approval Total time approval requests spent waiting for a decision, added up per quote Approved quotes. Also broken down by approval queue
Time to Delivery From creation to the moment the quote was ready to send — its publish date Published quotes. Also broken down by approval queue and by whether approval was required
Time to Acceptance From ready to send until the quote was signed or marked as accepted Published quotes that were accepted. Also broken down by e-signature vs manual acceptance
Approval Requests How many approval requests were raised All quotes, counted on the day of the last submission
Requests per Submitted Quote Average number of approval requests per quote that entered the approval process Quotes that are pending, approved, or rejected
Quotes Requiring Approval Share of published quotes that needed an approval Published quotes
Approval Rate Approved decisions as a share of all approve/reject decisions Every approval decision

The three Highlights tiles show the median (the middle quote) for creation, approval, and acceptance time, with a comparison against the period of the same length immediately before your selection — “0.3 d faster vs. prior period”. The charts below plot the average per day, week, or month (depending on how long a range you picked), one line per owner, plus a dashed Average line for the whole account.

Use the date picker in the top-right corner. Pick a shortcut — Last 7 days, This month, Last month, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, or Year to date — and it applies straight away. For exact dates, click a start and an end day on the calendar (or type them into From and To) and press Apply.

  • A range can cover up to 366 days and can’t extend past today.
  • The start date can be at most 12 months ago.
  • The default view is the last six calendar months.
  • Charts are grouped by day for ranges up to a month, by week (starting Monday) for ranges up to about four months, and by month beyond that.
  • The Highlights tiles compare against the period of the same length just before your range. When that earlier period would reach back more than 12 months, no comparison is shown.

Export downloads a CSV of everything on the page for the selected range: each metric for the whole range, for the prior period, and per day, week, or month, plus every breakdown (owner, approval queue, approval required, acceptance type), with quote counts and averages. Durations in the file are in hours.

Analytics refresh once an hour; the header shows the refresh interval. Actions you take right now appear in the next refresh, so don’t expect a quote you just approved to move the numbers immediately.

Approval times are recorded when each approval decision is made, so recalling a quote and resubmitting it counts the new request separately.

If the page reports that analytics are busy, wait a minute and try again — the reporting service is shared and briefly saturated, and nothing on your account needs fixing.

Breakdowns by the deal’s close type (won, lost, open) are not available yet.

No screenshots are included because the dashboard is populated with your own account’s data and looks different for every customer.
