Configuring the Template Attachment module

Attach PDFs that ship with every quote built from a template, each with its own display conditions.

The Template Attachment module carries PDFs that belong to the template rather than to one quote — a master services agreement, a security overview, a product catalog. You upload the file once and every quote from the template carries it, without the rep remembering to attach anything.

Each PDF is converted to images so it can display inline on the quote.

In HubSpot’s module picker it’s called Template Attachment (Quotivity). A template can only contain one Template Attachment module, but that module can hold as many sections as you need.

At the top of the panel, Module visibility (optional) takes condition groups that hide the entire module unless the quote meets them. Leave it empty and the module always shows.

Each section is one PDF plus the settings that control how it appears. Click Add section for another, drag sections by the grip handle to reorder them, and click a section’s name to rename it — the name is internal, for finding your way around the panel.

Setting What it does
PDF attachment The file itself. Click Browse to upload, or Remove file to clear it
Page header A heading shown above this attachment on the quote
Display conditions Conditions that decide whether this section appears
Show download link Adds a Download link so buyers can save the original PDF
Show previews Renders the PDF’s pages inline as images
Show all pages Shows every page rather than only the first. Available when previews are on

After you upload a file, the section reports its progress: Queued for processing…, then Converting PDF to images…, then Ready. If it says Processing failed, upload the file again. A section whose file is still processing, or missing, is left out of the rendered quote.

  1. Open the module. Select Template Attachments in the Template Modules panel.
  2. Upload a PDF into the first section and wait for it to report Ready.
  3. Name the section and set its page header, so both you and the buyer know what the document is.
  4. Add display conditions if the document only applies to some quotes — an EU data processing addendum for European buyers, for example.
  5. Choose how it appears — download link, inline previews, or both.
  6. Add more sections for other documents, drag them into order, then preview and publish.
  • Conditions on a section are the clean way to handle regional or product-specific paperwork; conditions on the whole module are for hiding the entire block.
  • Inline previews are images, so keep long documents to a download link and save previews for the pages buyers should actually read.
  • Files a rep picks per quote belong in the Quote Attachments module.
