Configuring the Quote Embed module
Drop a video, document, or other embedded content into the quote using a value stored on a CRM property.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The Quote Embed module puts external content inside the quote — a recorded demo, a Google Doc, a Loom walkthrough. Rather than hard-coding one URL into the template, the module reads a CRM property, so each quote can embed something different while every quote uses the same template.
In HubSpot’s module picker it’s called Quotivity External Embed.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Heading | An optional heading above the embedded content |
| Source Property | The quote, deal, or company property holding the URL or embed code |
| Width | The embed’s width. Defaults to 100% |
| Height | The embed’s height. Defaults to 400px |
The source property can be a text, multi-line text, or rich-text property on the Quote, Deal, or Company object.
How the value is rendered
Section titled “How the value is rendered”- A URL — Quotivity renders it in a frame at the width and height you set.
- Embed code — the markup is cleaned up before rendering, and anything pointing at a domain that isn’t trusted is stripped out.
Trusted domains cover the common video and document platforms: YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, Loom, Vidyard, TED, CodePen, and CodeSandbox, plus any extra domains added to your account. While you’re configuring the module, a warning lists any untrusted domains it found so you can fix the source before publishing rather than discovering a blank space on a live quote.
- Choose where the link lives. A custom deal property such as “Demo video URL” lets reps set it per deal; a company property suits content that’s the same for every quote to that customer.
- Open the module. Select Quote Embed in the Template Modules panel.
- Pick the source property from the property picker.
- Set the width and height. Percentages keep the embed responsive; a fixed height keeps the page layout stable.
- Check the preview with a deal that has the property filled in, then publish.
- Quotes with the property empty simply show the heading and nothing else, so it’s safe to include the module on every quote.
- Ask reps for the share or embed URL rather than the page URL — a YouTube watch link and its embed link aren’t the same thing.
- Video is worth its space on proposals a buyer forwards internally; it explains the offer when you’re not in the room.
