Term What it means
Quotivity The HubSpot-native CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) app your team uses to build, price, approve, and send quotes.
Quotivity Studio The admin app where you configure quoting — rules, price books, bundles, templates, approvals, and settings.
Quote Builder The screen where a sales rep assembles a quote: adds products, adjusts quantities and pricing, and submits for approval or sending.
CPQ Configure, Price, Quote — software that helps sales teams build accurate, consistent quotes.
Quote Rule A rule with conditions and an outcome that governs quote behavior — for example, block a quote, require approval, or set a price book when conditions are met.
Compatibility Rule A rule that controls which bundle products can be selected together. When selected products match the IF side, products matching the THEN side are excluded from the picker.
Condition A test inside a Quote Rule (a property, an operator, and a value) that determines whether the rule’s outcome applies.
Condition group A set of conditions evaluated together. A rule can have multiple groups.
Outcome The action a Quote Rule takes when its conditions are met (block, notify, require approval, require validation, require e-signature, add line items, and more).
Require Validation A Quote Rule outcome that holds a quote until an external HubSpot validation workflow finishes for a named Validation Operation.
Validation Operation The named check a Require Validation rule requests (for example, Calculate Shipping or Calculate Taxes). HubSpot workflows enroll on this value.
Quotivity Validation Status A quote property Quotivity sets to Validation Pending when validation starts. Your validation workflow or process is responsible for setting it to Validation Complete when the check finishes.
Price Book A catalog that defines the prices for a set of products, including list-price adjustments and editability rules.
Price book entry A single product’s pricing within a price book (the product × price book pair).
Standard price A product’s base price in HubSpot, before any price book adjustment.
List price The price a price book produces for a product after its adjustment is applied.
Adjustment How a price book sets a product’s price: override, percentage, volume tiers, or a pricing table (enum or range).
Volume pricing Tiered pricing where the unit price changes based on quantity.
Pricing table An adjustment that sets price from a product property — by exact value (enum) or numeric range (range).
Product variant A version of a product whose attributes (such as size or color) resolve to a specific price.
Calculated pricing A formula that sets a product’s unit price from product and quote context at quote time. Formulas can use arithmetic, comparisons, and — on the Enterprise plan — functions (IF, AND, OR, NOT, ISBLANK, BLANKVALUE), then multiply the result by the list price.
Ramp pricing A Quote Builder configuration that splits one recurring product into sequential billing periods, each with its own discount and term. Enterprise.
Bundle A configurable group of products presented under a single header product, with options the rep chooses from.
Bundle Configurator A guided Quote Builder panel where reps configure a bundle’s options and products before (or while) those choices appear on the quote. Optional option icons and public product images make the panel easier to scan.
Bundle header The parent product that represents a bundle on a quote.
Bundle option A choice within a bundle (for example, “choose one plan”), made up of one or more option products.
Add-on product An optional bundle product that can be added to a bundle instance, often by a Quote Rule.
Collection A reusable group of products that a Quote Rule can add to a quote together.
Quote Template The layout and styling that controls how a quote document looks.
Terms Reusable terms-and-conditions text you can attach to templates or set with a Quote Rule.
Roll-up field A field that aggregates values across line items (count, sum, min, max, average) and saves the result on the quote for use in rules, pricing, and templates.
Dynamic Property Set A configuration that controls which line item properties display for each product in the Quote Builder, with optional required and dropdown restrictions.
DLIP Dynamic Line Item Property — a line item property kept in sync by an Update line items rule, with tracking so manual edits aren’t overwritten.
Sender Company A company profile (name, address, branding) that appears as the sender on a quote. Also called a sender entity.
Quote email An email a sales rep sends from their connected Gmail / Google Workspace or Microsoft (Outlook / Microsoft 365) mailbox to share a published quote with a customer. Admins configure the starting template and defaults under Settings → Quoting → Quote Emails.
HubSpot timeline event An app event Quotivity writes to the HubSpot deal that owns a quote — for example, published, signed, or viewed. Cards appear on that deal’s activity timeline.
Approval A gate that holds a quote in Pending approval until a designated approver approves or rejects it.
Require e-signature A Quote Rule outcome that turns on e-signature and optionally sets countersigners who must sign.
Countersigner A person on your side who signs a quote, in addition to the buyer.
E-signature The signing flow that collects legally binding signatures on a finalized quote.
Finalization The buyer-facing step where the buyer selects line items and accepts the quote.
Plan Your Quotivity subscription tier: Trial, Pro, or Enterprise. Some features require a specific plan.
Licensed user A user who counts against your plan’s seat count and can build quotes.
Guided Selling Branching questionnaires (flows) that collect answers before or while building a quote. Available when enabled on the account.

Question Library The shared catalog of reusable Guided Selling questions.
Flow Response The saved answers from a completed Guided Selling flow; Quote Rules can condition on them.
